Locks of Love

Look what I did! Look what I did!

After ten years of below shoulder-length hair (seven of them with really long hair) I've decided to chop my hair! I took of about 12 inches and am donating it to "Locks of Love," a charity that gives real human-hair wigs to needy children with long-term hair loss. It feels good and I am so proud that I can help. Click on the picture to see a slide show of my change!

Way to go Fiona. Your haircut looks very nice. You will definitely appreciate it when you are watching Blades of Glory.

That's awesome. I've always wanted to do that, but I can never get my hair long enough!

Thanks for the support guys! I was really ready for it. When I got there I just said "I don't even care, just go for it!"
I can't wait to receive my confirmation card from Locks of Love. I am just so glad to be able to help. I'm done with it so why not give it to someone who can use it? ANd I did appreciate the haircut while I was watching Blades of Glory with Mr and Mrs Shife.

I've found that if you can come up with any sort of length they'll take it (their preferred length is 10" or more but shorter is used too). Either they'll use it to make wigs for boys or sell it for fair-market cost to offset the cost of creating the donated wigs. :-) It is a really cool organization.
